It works really well mashing to a smooth puree: bananas, avocado, pumpkin (mashing the canned pumpkin further). The handle on the smasher is comfortable, and the handle on the bowl provides much needed support. The bowl has a silicone grip on the bottom to prevent it from sliding around while you\\\'re using it. The included spoon is angled perfectly for little mouths and the lid is a handy addition if you want to take the food to go.
