I think it's better to apply with layers. I swipe a layer on then blend the edges with a cotton bud then do the same thing on the upper lip. I don't really smack them together becaue it never worked for me. i used to apply the same way for the 2nd layer until you get your desired intensity.

I think this product is ok but when im using it is very easy for the product to transfer to teeth because the product is sensitive towards h2o. This product will not make your lips dry. For daily it is ok to wear it but be carefull with the rain because it might stain your cloth...
