What made you decide to join the contest?
I decided to join the contest because I am a parent of an energetic child and I want to share my wonderful feelings about parenting with other new parents out there.
What inspired you to come up with the winning entry?
My family, especially my supportive hubby inspired me to join and become one of the winners of this contest.
How do you feel about being a winner?
I was very excited when my name was announced as a grand prize winner and I am very grateful to win this. I am pleased that my parenting sharing was appreciated by others.
Can you share what you like best about being a mother and what are the challenges that you face either in being a good parent?
My experience of being a mother is a tough one for me, tougher than getting a four-year bachelor degree. From the first month of pregnancy, the mixed feeling between fear and happiness, affecting the sleep and emotions for a solid 41 weeks.
On the D-day of the ‘D’elivery, I had to self-learn how to breastfeed my dear baby. My body tried valiantly to adapt to her 5-minute-on-the-dot demands. It was both a depressing yet satisfying experience.
My dear baby is clingy, as well as being a day-sleeper and night-walker… She’s a real Night King… hahaha
Each morning, mommy becomes like a zombie. That was when I decided to take a break from my career as my hubby and I feel that she needs a 110% attention in order for us to self-nurture and educate her until she’s at least 2 years old.
Furthermore, I read and learned about parenting from books and received special tips from other parents on how to become a tougher, much more patient mother as well as how to get good vibes in nurturing my dependent baby.
What is a typical day of being a mother like for you?
As a mother, I will make sure my baby is comfortable every day by feeding her until she’s full and making sure her clothes are clean, and her diaper is changed every 4-5 hours. I love playing and teaching her the alphabets as well as enjoying educational cartoons together.
I love to teach her everything myself because by doing that, I could watch her grow up day-to-day. Time is of the essence as parents.
Did any Clearblue products play a role in your family planning/parenting journey?
Yes, Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test is essential, as we prudently plan for the family. It helped us avoid no unplanned pregnancies that would potentially upset the mental equilibrium at home.
I do not take any pills or any other family planning contraptions. So Clearblue Digital Ovulation Test is important for us to know the fertility timing which aids us to conceive our child naturally.
What is your advice for mothers-to-be?
My top 3 motherhood tips are :
1) Spend time with our child. Because for children, time is LOVE.
2) Discipline with love and positive parenting. Always be a positive mom for your child.
3) Be our child’s role model. A good child is from good parents.
Being parents is a great responsibility from God. Almost 2 years ago, when we first became parents, thousands of thoughts came into our mind: care, love, kindness, tolerance, patience, compassion, how to raise the child, how to provide enough food on the table, and understanding needs of the newborn child.
Parents must take care of the child with honesty and unconditional love. Love means spending the most valuable thing that we have with children; our times. I put my career on hold after graduating so that I could spend valuable time with my child, to personally teach and watch her grow up day-to-day.
As parents, we also need to understand the personal needs of the children from newborn until they are independent. Being a parent also taught me to be a caring person and fed us with immeasurable wonderful experiences for me and my hubby. We really enjoy the moments of becoming parents for the first child and this whole experience has made us stronger and better people.

Can you share what you like best about being a mother and what are the challenges that you face either in being a good parent?
Being a mother has taught me to be more patient, more loving and affectionate. Ever since becoming a mom, I constantly deal with kids tantrums, it’s really challenging as I need to figure out the reasons of why they are throwing tantrums and giving the right response possible instead of just scolding and yelling at them. These moments usually are filled with tension and sometimes I find it quite hard to control myself from not being angry.
What is a typical day of being a mother like for you?
Being a working mom, every day is busy and hectic. Time management playing a crucial part in my life as I need to allocate my time wisely, to be able to multi-tasking at the same time and keeping on top of the household chores.
Did any Clearblue products play a role in your family planning/parenting journey?
I wish I knew about these Clearblue products from the first place as previously I’ve consulted gynaecologist while trying to conceive my baby a few years ago. This product is just very simple to use with 99% accuracy and it will definitely save you a lot of money and time comparing to the fees you paid to the gynaecologist. This especially helpful when you intend to conceive a baby in a preferred lunar year/ Chinese zodiac as some Chinese parents have some beliefs on it.

Being a mother is a beautiful experience especially when I became a mom for the first time. From morning sickness, food cravings, regular check-ups to entering the labour room, all of these experiences are precious to me. I remember being so excited to scan my baby in my stomach and how my baby bump looked so cute! The happiness I felt was indescribable. Now I have 2 children, 1 boy and 1 girl. That is enough for me and my family is now complete.
Seeing my children grow up every day makes me feel so great. I know I am not a perfect mom but I try to be a good parent and give 100% care and love to my children.
Did any Clearblue products play a role in your family planning/parenting journey?
When I tried to conceive after 1 year of marriage, I used Clearblue Urine Pregnancy Test (UPT). For my second pregnancy, I liked using Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Test with Conception Indicator better. To me, the results are 100% accurate. And I bought 3 units and all the results showed “Pregnant 2-3” which was very true.

The best part about being a mother is the love I feel for my baby. I never realised how big my heart would get. I feel like I have a purpose, that I’ve found my calling and the true meaning of being me! It’s the best job in the world. I wouldn’t want it any other way. I am important, and I feel wanted and loved.

I am a working mother. My daily routine involves preparing breakfast and lunch for my husband. Then I send my baby to her babysitter. Though I can’t be with her physically all the time, I still cherish every small moment I can with her.

I plan to use Clearblue products for my next pregnancy. Unlike the products I’ve used before, I believe that Clearblue products are better and give more accurate results.
What is your advice for mothers-to-be?
Always listen to your instincts. People put so much pressure on new moms that they often get overwhelmed and stop listening to themselves. A mother’s instincts are one of our greatest assets.
And for mothers-to-be, please be careful about what you eat. Keep eating healthy foods and avoid junk food. From my experience, maternal nutrition during pregnancy plays a great role in infant growth and development.
