Petaling Jaya, 15 November 2018 – KidZania’s CongreZZ kids cooked up a storm today as they prepared a banquet for the children of *Hilla Community Centre, marking the launch of KidZania Kuala Lumpur’s KidZ vs Food 3.0! This holiday programme from 24 November to 31 December is specially curated for kids, with daily and weekend activities that show children how to work with and appreciate food.

Now in its third year, the launch event treated children from the Centre to a meal of Turmeric Chicken and Long Beans served with rice, and Banana Chocolate Rolls for dessert, all prepared and served by CongreZZ kids with the help of professional chef ‘Abang’ Brian from the Young Chefs Academy (YCA).

KidZania CongreZZ kids showcase amazing teamwork in cooking up a storm for their underprivileged friends at the launch of KidZania Kuala Lumpur ‘KidZ vs Food 3.0’.

“The ability to cook and feed ourselves, as well as others, builds confidence and gives us a sense of accomplishment – these are important lessons for children that can be applied to many situations. The teamwork exhibited by the CongreZZ kids to prepare this meal is an inspiring look at what it means to ‘Learn Life Today’, and demonstrates yet another learning experience, which is expressing kindness for those in need,” said Shahrul Nizar Ahmad, Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur.

“Their efforts are a great example of what KidZ vs Food 3.0 has to offer; this year, we have lined up various cooking activities to give children a comprehensive range of learning experiences with food preparations,” he explained.

The KidZ vs Food 3.0 programme categories include the Pop Up Kitchen and Drink Station activities to guide kids through simple food and beverage recipes, while Food Science activities allow kids to ‘play’ with ingredients through experiments like Ice Fishing. Meanwhile, Food Art gives children the chance to be creative and the Parent & Kid Cooking Workshops will feature a different family-friendly recipe each weekend, such as Cinnamon Rolls and Spinach & Cheese Pull Apart Bread.

KidZ vs Food 3.0 is proudly supported by Emborg, F&N, Kewpie Malaysia, MAMEE, Mission Foods, Malaysia Palm Oil Council, SHARP, Spritzer and Young Chefs Academy.
