Generali Malaysia, one of the largest general insurers and an emerging life insurer in Malaysia, has announced its first batch of scholarship recipients for the “Generali Malaysia Volare Scholarship Programme”.

7 deserving students were awarded with scholarship grants to pursue their undergraduate studies at top local and private universities in Malaysia. Each candidate went through a rigorous selection process and assessment, which was focused on unearthing their exceptional attributes and discovering their values. These individuals were actively involved in extra-curricular activities apart from their excellent academic results.

Reflecting the diversity of disciplines in the insurance industry, the scholars are currently pursuing academic disciplines such as Actuarial Science, IT, Economics, Accounting and Law.

During the award ceremony held at Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel, Fabrice Benard, Chief Executive Officer of Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad and Country Head for Generali Entities in Malaysia stated that education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and communities.

“Our scholarship programme goes beyond just providing financial aid. We want to equip scholars with skills and knowledge that will prepare them for the future and positively impact the society. That’s why we offer a holistic program with developmental opportunities, which include guaranteed internship placement with Generali Malaysia, mentorship, networking, and community service projects to help them gain real-world experiences and build their professional network,” Fabrice added.

Launched in June 2023, the Generali Malaysia Volare Scholarship Programme exemplifies Generali’s commitment as a responsible employer, supporting the country’s human capital development through education. This programme seeks to nurture young talents and create a sustainable legacy for the insurance industry.
