I wanted a printing calculator for doing my dreaded accounts but also one that my son could borrow for his homework. This is a sturdy piece of kit with nice little rubber feet so it doesn't slide around. It doesn't have that many maths functions, but then it is aimed at people like me doing their accounts, and so it doesn't require any. And to my delight you can simply press a button to turn off the printing - the one that says PRINT. This is great because if the ink or paper run out you can still use the calculator and if you just want to add up a couple of items for something or get a percentage you don't need to waste paper printing it out.
It requires 4 AA batteries or, as another reviewer said, you can run it on mains with the right adaptor. Ideal, really.

Having used printing calculators in business for years I now need one at home for a small business, this seems to be fine for my needs. Buttons are a little small when entering many numbers quickly and there is no double zero button, but this is a minor gripe. The paper can be toggled on/off with the print button if you don't need to use paper and then can just be used as a basic calculator. Once you find the exact point to push the new paper in its fine, a little trick was to fold the first bit over to make it grip better and then it went in quickly. My problem was getting the small starter roll out in the first place! Other than this its good for the price and quite sturdy. Overall pleasing to use.
