Chia seeds help in weight control because of the abundant source of soluble fibre, it adds bulk without adding extra calories nor fat…..reducing the blood pressure, fibrinogen and C – reactive protein levels. Provided that patients have prior consultation with health care professionals, chia seeds can be supplemented into the daily diet.

Superfood - chia seed is full of goodness

    5 out of 5, reviewed on November 19, 2016

Heard and read a lot about the benefits of chia seed and started adding it into my diet since 2 years ago. It is rich with nutrients and does help improve bowel health (pass motion on regular basis) and solution for constipation.

How I prepare and consume the chia seed?
I normally soak the chia seed in water (sometimes overnight – 3 tablespoon + 1 cup water) before consuming it – apparently that is a safer way to eat it. Chia seed expands multiple times when it is soaked in water and it creates a slimy coating.

Ways that I consume the soaked chia seed:-
    1. Add to yogurt
    2. Consume with fruit juice
    3. Mix and blend together with berries smoothies
    4. Sprinkled on oats
    5. Simple one is just add in water bottle for daily water consumption
