This is my favorite! I feel like it because it takes impurities out of my skin as it dries and I use it twice a week for my combination skin. As it dries while I am in the bath, after I get out I use it as an exfoliant and rinse thoroughly followed by the active moist. I noticed such a huge difference in my dry patches diminishing after about two weeks. It also reduces my oiliness after use it. Definitely recommend this product and brand for people with combination skin like me.

    This works!

I’ve accumulated a massive stash of clay and charcoal and other paste/gel/mud masks (as opposed to sheet masks) and I am trying to use them up. The good news is that I usually respond to charcoal-containing skincare products really well, so I was looking forward to this one. As it turns out, I think this mask is great!

This does a wonderful, wonderful job of absorbing oil. Since I have been using this in the morning, it has been great preparation for applying makeup. It leaves the surface of my skin at basically the perfect texture and moisture level for all-day foundation coverage. It also does clean out my pores (on my nose, especially).

This has some vaguely medicinal odor (you stop noticing it after the product starts to dry). It may tingle a bit. But I actually find it reduces redness and inflammation. That is not surprising — it has niacinamide, which is often used to reduce redness (and which works for me), as well as sulfur, tea tree oil, and lactic acid, all of which are used to treat breakouts or to chemically exfoliate the skin. (So do use a good sunscreen in conjunction with this product.) It also has witch hazel so it has some toning benefits.
