Social emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children acquire the knowledge, attitude and skills they need to recognise and manage their emotions, demonstrate care and concern for others, establish positive relationships, make responsible decisions, handle challenging conditions constructively, and much more. Brainbow Kids, based in Subang Jaya, is the first Certified Social Emotional Intelligence (ISEI)® school that uses Neuroscience to provide an exciting platform for children to develop healthy social, emotional and behavioural skills through fun and to stimulate creative art and craft.
Founded by Nandhini Sivanna, a certified Emotional Intelligence Coach (ISEI)® and a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Kids Practitioner, Brainbow Kids offers two highly engaging programmes – Rainbow Adventure (ages 3 to 7) and SuperPower Me (age 7 and above) – each designed around various elements such as EQ Games, Regulation Activities and Storytelling, while its art and craft projects provide a pathway for kids to unleash their creativity through several art techniques and mediums, from paper marbling to the Japanese art of Kintsugi.
Another popular feature available through Brainbow Kids is its uniquely-themed Brainbow Box, a monthly subscription craft box which comprises three art projects (eg modelling clay name boards, DIY board games, sensory jars, terrarium sand art), with all the materials and step-by-step instructions (including video tutorials) for hours of hands-on fun and learning. These programmes and activities help kids develop valuable life skills such as responsible decision-making and creative problem-solving. They also foster mindfulness and a positive mindset as children learn to maximise their full potential.
