7 Home Remedies for Glowing Skin

Feeling a little oily? Or perhaps your skin is dry and cracked? Here are some natural home remedies that you can use to get radiant and spotless skin.

1. Lemon:

A product with many great properties and a common ingredient in many skin and hair care products, lemon contains a lot of vitamin C for whitening spots and a strong bleaching acid which works great in cleaning oils and dead cells. It is a great way to get glowing skin, especially for people who have oily skin. Its astringent properties help eliminate excess fat and significantly improve the appearance of the face. However lemon should only be applied after sunset because exposing the skin to sunlight after applying lemon can leave stains. Squeeze a lemon and apply on the skin in the areas to be treated.

2. Carrots and berries:

Carrots, oranges and vegetables have lots of ingredients that make your face glow. The coloring beta-carotene of carrots is also known as a skin protecting vitamin. Apart from that, berries like strawberries and blueberries provide the skin with lots of vitamin C, which leaves the skin glowing from the inside out and creates a smooth skin surface. Make a paste of these ingredients and use it as a face mask, leave it to dry and finally with water wash and clean your skin.

3. Aloe-vera:

The gel of aloe vera has both cleaning and moisturizing abilities to give you clean, soft and glowing skin. Its medicinal and moisturizing qualities serve as a good remedy for the beauty of skin. The juice also has a mild laxative effect which is effective in removing clogged skin impurities. You can also apply the gel directly over the face and gently massage it in to optimize the results.

 

4. Avocado:

Avocados contain many useful ingredients such as vitamin A , vitamin E and healthy fats which cause the skin to radiate from within. A paste of avocado applied over your skin will give it a very soft and glowing texture. You just need a ripe avocado, make a paste and let it dry over skin.

 

 

5. Egg:

In many cosmetic advertisements, the term “omega-3 fatty acid” tossed to and fro. For those who aren’t sure what this is, omega-3 fatty acid is an ingredient found in eggs that helps prevent wrinkles and keeps your skin healthy. Take one egg, 10 spoons of yogurt and mix them together. Apply it over face for 15 minutes and then clean. This remedy will clear dirt, fine lines and dark spots over face and make you look more beautiful then ever.

6. Apple cider vinegar:

The topical application of apple cider vinegar helps to improve blood circulation to reduce inflammation and brings back the lost softness to skin. Dip a cloth in apple cider vinegar and apply over face and give time to absorb their properties. To get an exfoliating effect, you can mix baking soda with vinegar, with slow circular moments rub it on face, neck, hands etc. and wash after 5 minutes.

 

7. Coffee and cocoa butter:

The active compound caffeine in coffee is an ingredient that stimulates circulation when applied to the skin. A mixture of ground coffee and cocoa butter is very effective to get glowing skin as it not only eliminates impurities, but also deeply nourishes the skin layers. Take 5 tablespoons of coffee grounds and 5 tablespoons of cocoa butter. Mix together these ingredients and blend to get a paste. Use this mask on your face and finally rinse with warm water. Use it every week to give a glowing effect to skin.
