Naturally harvested from the French Mediterranean. Sea salt tends to be coarser and have a higher concentration of minerals than table salt. Its sodium level is comparable to table salt. This salt does not supply iodine, a necessary nutrient.

    While sea salt has been generally perceived as the better type of salt to consume, I was surprised to know that the McCormick Sea Salt Grinder does not contain iodine. This perked my interest, and the taste of the sea salt was rather dissapointing. It was neither strong, nor had it any coarseness to it, even after grinding. It needed a lot of seasoning to add to my steak to make its crust saltier. Needless to say, I won’t be returning back to this, and would opt for the Himalayan Pink Salt variant instead
