Bangsar Babe, a Malaysian blog about food, travel, and lifestyle, was established by Tiong Sue Lynn as a platform to share her food discoveries and travel experiences with others.

Why we like it: We make it a point to search for new restaurant reviews on her site to see whether it is worth it or not to pay a visit to them as we found her reviews to be very thorough and fair. The detailed and lovely photos accompanying her posts certainly help! Her travel blogs are also a joy to read and she does have contributors writing articles for her site too.

Why we like it: Wilson and Rachel travel extensively (with a forced hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic when all borders were shut). Thankfully for their fans, they are out and about again. We like their gorgeous and detailed photos that display mouthwatering dishes and scenic views. They basically let the pictures do most of the talking with brief captions peppered throughout their blog posts.

Why we like it: The gems they discover in their search for good food (mostly around Malaysia) are truly helpful in coming up with our own list of what to eat when we are in that vicinity. It is very food-centric, with detailed descriptions and terrific photos of the food and the experiences they had during their foodie jaunts. The quality of posts have been consistent for a blog that is nearly 20 years old and we love it!

Why we like it: The website is well-organised by helpful categories and locations. The breathtaking photos and succint captions also make this blog very appealing to foodies and travellers alike.

Maria J Dass runs a travel blog named “Maria Dass The World,” through which she documents her travel experiences.

Why we like it: Her blog name caught our eye as it sounded very saucy, quite along the lines of the notorious “Debbie Does Dallas” vibe. Very tongue-in-cheek indeed! We love her travel writing style and the faraway places and adventures she brings us to. How she ties pop culture with the places she visits is truly fascinating. Though her web visits are not high at the moment, we thought it’s worth a special mention and if she knows she’s listed here, it might just encourage her to continue blogging her awesome adventures.
