Focus Point Vision Care Group Sdn Bhd (Focus Point), Malaysia’s leading optical retail chain, marked the grand finale of its World Sight Day 2025 roadshow with a special event in collaboration with Miss Tourism International at Mid Valley Megamall. Themed “Every Story Counts,” this meaningful initiative brought together 37 international delegates representing every continent to share insights and stories about eye health from their respective regions.

Over the course of the seven-day roadshow, Focus Point reached more than two thousand members of the public, offering free comprehensive eye screenings, educational sessions on vision care and myopia management, and promoting the donation of used eyewear to help underserved communities.

In line with the World Sight Day 2025 global theme “Every Story Counts,” Focus Point’s campaign aimed to raise awareness of the importance of regular eye examinations and preventive care. The company’s ongoing outreach through the Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation and its educational programs reinforces its mission to make quality vision care accessible for all.

“Every story counts because behind every pair of eyes is a life, a dream, and a future worth protecting,” said Dato’ Liaw Choon Liang, Founder, President & CEO of Focus Point Holdings Berhad. “Through initiatives like this, we hope to inspire more people to care for their vision and understand that eye health truly connects us all.”

During the event, Miss Tourism International delegates took the stage to highlight eye health challenges and progress in their home continents, from rising myopia rates in Asia, to cataract prevention efforts in Africa, and limited access to eye care in remote parts of South America. Their collective message underscored that eye health is a universal concern that transcends borders and cultures. Focus Point also
reminded audiences of the incredible complexity of the human eye, the second most intricate organ after the brain, with over two million working parts, a true marvel that deserves care and attention.

As the roadshow drew to a close, Focus Point celebrated the success of the week-long World Sight Day campaign, which not only educated thousands of visitors but also featured public health talks by Eye Care Professionals to promote a deeper understanding of vision care.

The event concluded with a resounding call to action for everyone to “Love Your Eyes,” schedule regular eye check-ups, and continue supporting initiatives that make a difference in vision care. To continue this mission, Focus Point’s 360° Advanced Primary Eye Care Screening is still ongoing at participating outlets nationwide. Book your appointment now: shorturl.at/kBLU8.
