On September 16th, 2024, in celebration of the 61st Malaysia Day, BikeBaju has gathered over 500 cyclists from across the nation to join the #RideWithBB Fellowship Ride in Cyberjaya. The ride is more than just an event—it is a tribute to the unity and patriotism that binds Malaysians together, offering a platform where cyclists of all backgrounds unite in the spirit of national pride.
Cycling for Unity and Patriotism
The #RideWithBB Fellowship Ride has become a symbol of unity in the Malaysian cycling community. This event is uniquely designed to unite cyclists from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, or background. By promoting inclusivity, BikeBaju aims to demonstrate that Malaysia’s strength lies in its diversity.
“We believe in the power of cycling to unite people,” says Yim Wai Soon, Managing Director of BikeBaju. “This ride reflects the harmonious coexistence that defines our nation. We are proud to bring together Malaysians to celebrate our shared identity and love for the sport.”
Enhancing the event’s atmosphere, a backdrop featuring patriotic artwork by Hasnee Rahman, a cyclist and accomplished artist, commissioned by BikeBaju, will be displayed prominently during the event. Hasnee, an avid cyclist and painter, has created a piece that beautifully captures the essence of Malaysian unity. This artwork is a powerful visual representation of the fusion of art, sport, and national pride.
Including Hasnee’s artwork adds a deeper cultural significance to the event. Not only does it celebrate the spirit of unity, but it also highlights the personal journey of a cyclist who continues to contribute meaningfully to the community. Additionally, BikeBaju is using this event to raise funds for Hasnee’s medical treatment, blending the cause of national unity with a heartfelt personal mission.
