The celebration brought together Agartana’s first 100 customers and distinguished guests, including members of Malaysia’s royal families, who planted agarwood trees as part of the brand’s inaugural customer planting initiative. Spanning 26 acres of greenery, the orchard dedicates 20 acres to customer-owned trees, while the remaining land will house the Agartana R&D Centre in Q3 2026, followed by wellness spaces in later phases.

Beyond its heritage and cultural significance, agarwood holds immense value across multiple industries, with Agartana’s focus rooted in its wellness applications, particularly for their therapeutic and restorative benefits. Recognising this potential, Agartana established the Agartana Education Fund to channel 3% of every tree purchase into scholarships, internships, and R&D sponsorships focused on agarwood biotechnology, sustainability, and wellness innovation. The fund will be blockchain-powered and publicly accessible via the Agartana website, ensuring transparency and accountability in supporting future talents and advancing agarwood research.

Through this initiative, Agartana is also proud to announce its collaboration with UTAR Hospital’s Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) Centre, which will be formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding in December. This collaboration marks the beginning of a long-term effort to advance agarwood biotechnology research and nurture Malaysia’s next generation of wellness professionals.

Outstanding participants may also be offered career opportunities with Agartana.

“Agartana was created to help people build prosperity that grows in harmony with nature. Today, as our first 100 customers plant their trees and with the launch of the Agartana Education Fund, we are bringing that philosophy to life by uniting sustainability, education, and purpose. Knowledge-sharing has always been at the heart of our mission, and we welcome collaborations with more universities to advance agarwood science and sustainable wellness together,” said Jessica Tan, Founder of Heartana Global Berhad.

The event was also attended by Ay Kang Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., a Taiwanese wellness partner exploring agarwood-based health innovations, alongside YM Tunku Mohamed Alauddin Tunku Naquiyuddin, Group Managing Director of Antah Strategic Services, and YM Tengku A’liaa Muna Tengku Abdul Rahman, Executive Director of Antah Commodities Trading, who planted their trees in support of Agartana’s vision of building a sustainable, knowledge-driven wellness legacy for future generations.

With sustainability at its heart and education as its foundation, Agartana continues to grow its mission of creating meaningful prosperity and advancing Malaysia’s wellness ecosystem, where each tree planted represents a story of legacy, balance, and renewal — a living promise for generations to come.
