Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental delays including speech delays, behavior and social challenges affect children differently particularly due to severity and functionality of each child. Evidence-based early intervention, primarily Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), provided in ABC (Autism Behavioural Centre), is the gold standard in autism treatment and related developmental delays due to longitudinal studies supporting its effectiveness when intervention begins early and intensively; 30-42 hours of 1:1 therapy weekly. For best outcomes, early intervention is crucial to ensure children are able to achieve milestones according to their age and eventually reintegrate into mainstream education settings.
ABC is Malaysia’s leading intervention centre located in Bangsar and Sunway Geo, delivering international standards of early intervention through PaTTAN (Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network) technology. Under the direct supervision of a Board-Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), ABC supports both local and international students. With PaTTAN in place, they have built an effective intervention system to cater to Malaysia’s growing demand for quality special needs programmes.
